About the Partnership
The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust (WHT) at the University of Oxford brought together over 30 scholars from 23 countries, creating a community without borders. Through this project, strong friendships were formed, fostering a genuine sense of global collaboration and unity.
What the Challenge Is
Unite scholars: create a platform for communication and strengthen unity within WHT
Foster intercultural interaction: encourage the exploration of each other's traditions and perspectives
Create an environment where participants can learn from one another, enriching their academic experience
Solution
Participants "traveled" across a virtual map connecting 23 countries, visiting Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and returning to the UK, which helped bond the scholars together.
Cultural exchange: the project included stories and traditions from various countries, enhancing mutual understanding and respect for each other's heritage.
Weekly challenges: tasks included wellness and mental health tips from WHT members.
Results
The WHT challenge not only succeeded but also made participants' experiences in Oxford even more vibrant:
True collaboration: scholars not only worked together but also forged strong friendships.
Cultural exchange: participants gained a deeper understanding of different cultures and their place in the world.
