Client
Playrix is an international mobile game developer headquartered in Dublin, with offices in Serbia, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Ukraine. Over 100 million people play the company's games every month worldwide.
Task
Playrix set an important task — to promote sports and improve interaction between international teams.
We needed to create conditions for uniting employees from different offices through sports activities, as well as motivate participants for informal communication and engage them in charity.
What We Did
We proposed that participants collectively circumnavigate the Earth at the equator, converting the points they earned into money to donate to charity.
Challenge participants needed to engage in any sport or simply be active throughout the day. For this, they earned points that helped the entire team move towards a common goal. This format allows us to unite a distributed team, enabling everyone to feel that their efforts are important for achieving the overall objective.
Created a Customized App
The center of communication for participants and the main tool for working with them was a customized version of the app, which could be installed for free on their smartphones. The company’s colors and logo allowed users to feel comfortable and confident among colleagues.
Formed Teams
We divided participants into 101 teams. This created an environment for informal communication within the company. Each team had its own internal chat, where participants quickly exchanged information and supported each other. Additionally, the division into teams fueled a competitive spirit and allowed participants to compete with one another.
Converted Points to Money
Playrix actively participates in social initiatives. Therefore, it was decided that every point earned by participants would not only contribute to a more active lifestyle but also be a real contribution to good causes. For every point, the company donated $0.30 to charity. In total, employees raised $38,000.
Conducted Personal Challenges
To maintain participants' interest and give them the opportunity to earn more bonus points, we organized 19 personal challenges across various physical activities: swimming, running, walking, cycling, etc. A total of 375 users completed at least one personal challenge.
Monitored Dashboards and Analytics
Challenge participants could monitor their achievements in real-time, track their colleagues' successes, and follow progress towards the common goal. We ensured the information was current by closely monitoring the state of dashboards and rankings. This helped maintain a high level of motivation and kept users engaged.
Moderated Communication in Chats
Employees exchanged messages in chats, commented on each other's actions, and liked posts. This helped create a warm and friendly atmosphere, allowing participants to get to know each other better and inspiring them to be active. Our team monitored the chats to ensure communication remained friendly and that information about workouts was accurate and reliable.
